Philemon 1:5-7 (New International Version)
“…because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. 6I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. 7Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.”
After the Way of the Master class with Tim Weakly, I took the million dollar bills given by Tim. I gave some to a gas station attendant, fast food employees, individuals, and college students. The following is a snippet of the interactions during the handing out of the million dollar tract.
When you are by yourself and walking along, you have less than three seconds for the exchange. Some of the places downtown I gave some away was Market Square, the escalator by the theater(I went up and down it several times and gave the bill to people going the opposite way of me.), people standing in movie ticket line, one fun incident was on the UT strip(college bar and restaurant area). At a stop light a big long black limo was carrying a group of college kids. They hollered at me while I walking. This was my Holy Spirit cue to approach the limo and handed about a dozen bills to the occupants in the limo. On the opposite corner was one of the public transit buses. The driver had her window rolled down and I told her, “Here is a tip for all you hard work.” She gave a smile and a laugh. This bus driver needed a good laugh especially dealing with some of the crazies riding her bus. On my way back to my car, I came upon a small group of college kids and all of them took a bill.
Saving souls at a the Collective Soul concert at the Tennessee Theater: Yes, as people were waiting to get in the Tennessee Theater, I started handing out the Million Dollar tracts. Question is for the attendees: Who is going to “collect their soul”?
I only came across one bill thrown on the ground.(after handing out about 75 bill tracks.) Of course, a few refuse to take a bill. Remember Mark Cahill says, “A no rejection is a win-win situation.” No matter what occurs, if done in biblical love is still obeying the Great Commission. Your reward in Heaven will be great.
Luke 6:23 (New Living Translation)
“When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.”
Matthew 5:12 (New Living Translation)
“Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.”
I do recommend if you go out street witnessing, take someone with you. Now if you cannot get anyone to go with you, then use wisdom and discernment. Always pray before and after street witnessing. Remember to be led by the Holy Spirit and not in your strength. (Zech. 4:6).
Towards the latter part of the evening, I came upon a black gospel music performance in Market Square. When one of the organizers asked what I was doing. He offered and I accepted prayer over me for boldness in witnessing. This guy’s name was Robert.(not ironic, but a God-sent conformation.) He was an on-fire brother in Christ. Covered in tattoos and looked like a bouncer. God definitely used him to help and encourage me. Many times in street witnessing, you need an encourager. It was much needed for the rest of the night. He wanted info about my church. I gave him a business card and the group of people with him each got a million dollar tract. Hopefully, the bill tracts will encourage them to boldly share Jesus with people.

Isaiah 29:16 (New Living Translation)
“ How foolish can you be?
He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay!
Should the created thing say of the one who made it,
“He didn’t make me”?
Does a jar ever say,
“The potter who made me is stupid”?
I want to encourage my readers: Remember to be submissive to the Lord and be thankful as a piece of clay that he did not throw us away in the worthless clay trash bin.

Saturday was the big move for the new and returning college students. On Saturday night, they were on the UT strip(Cumberland St.) like locusts. A couple of interesting meets with some students.
One was a returning college student “laying the mack” on some new college freshman girls. I was once a college student and I knew what this college guy was attempting to do with any lady he could seduce. If you parents are not praying for your college student, especially those of you with daughters, you need to be praying hard. Simply for the fact, some guys would like to “initiate” your little girls into the college experience.
One of my favorite current street preachers is a guy named Tony Miano. Tony is a former law officer.(Check out his facebook page or his blog: http://thelawmanchronicles.blogspot.com/ ). I remember how protective he was when one of his little girls accompanied him on a street evangelism day.
So back to my Saturday night…. I approached the hormonally charged college man and in front of the girls he was seducing, I said, “Hey, brother, Jesus loves you” and gave him a bible tract. I slowly walked on down the sidewalk. I suddenly heard him scream from the top of his lungs, “I HATE GOD!” He was quite angry I(or should I say God place me in the girls and his path) broke his little “mack attack” on the girls.
About 15 minutes later after a bathroom brake at the Krystal, I walked back to the area. Low and behold, the girls were still there talking, minus the guy. Obviously, the girls were not impressed with the guy’s rant. I talked to the girls, they were freshman and there first night on the town and away from family. I told them to be careful tonight and have an enjoyable evening. I gave them each a tract and told them, “Jesus loves you.”
The love the young man had for them was not the same love Jesus has for them. The young man had erotic intentions. Christ had a self-sacrificing love(most commonly referred in the Greek as “Agape” love).
I knew these girls had fathers or potentially had a “father figure” in their life and if a horny college man approached them with thoughts of sleeping with them, those daddies would have grabbed the kid by the collar and gave him the right foot of christian fellowship on his butt.
I could obviously tell this kid had ill intentions towards those girls. Ive seen from doing street ministries around bars of many guys slipping a drug in a girls drink so they could rape a woman. I believe God placed me at the right time to stop a potential victimization on a young college woman. I could have whooped the little kid, but God had a better and creative way to get the kid’s attention as well as the girls seeing how he responded to the presentation of the Gospel.
When you go out street witnessing, you will come into situations which may have a dual effect. The main one is the presentation of the God’s Word. The second may meet a immediate need or crime prevention. Always start with prayer and asking for strength and guidance from the Holy Spirit when sharing the Gospel. Always end with prayer. God gave you the opportunity to plant a seed. It will be exciting to see the results of the planting of the seed when you get to Heaven. You may not see the result here on Earth, but God will reward you for your faithfulness to the Great Commission.
Jesus and his Agape love always wins, especially against a horny college boy.

While out handing out tracts in the Market Square/Gay street area, I ran into a very fundamental KJV ONLY, suit, tie and slacks guy(Brother Howard). At first I thought he might be one of the Project Ezra gang or The Way of the Master. NOPE. We talked for a good twenty minutes. Now he was tickled there was someone else street witnessing. HOWARDEVER, He told me if I was going to do it, I should only be using a KJV ONLY bible, attend a church that only uses and KJV bible and if i was representing Christ, I should be wearing a suit and tie.(Not a Hawaii shirt and shorts. which is all I can afford at the time being at a thrift store.) I asked him about John the Baptist(Camel hair guy)…nope he was in the Old Covenant. I thought about firing back using scripture “I the Lord, God never change.” or using “Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks at the Heart.” the KJV only issue I should have pointed out that when people in other countries read the Word in their own language….its not KJV… I just let him have his say and I went on. With guys and churches like his(fundamental baptist church), they are very legalistic. It puts into my memory in the bible when the Religious leaders asked Jesus why his disciples did not do the ritualistic cleaning before eating. I thought I would share. I’m unsure to make an assessment to call “Bro. Howard” a wolf in sheep clothing or write him off as a false teacher, yet I would not want people going to his church and be constantly being beaten for not meeting up to their religious standards. Or would I be correct in calling him a “Jewdizer”, one that adds circumcision or rituals/outward appearances to the salvation process? I am all for preaching the word in all the world, yet I know in the New Testament, John the Baptist and Jesus went after the “religious” people and told them there were pit of vipers and sons of Satan.
Now I do have another side of my heart saying this guy does honestly love the Lord. It is just he takes his stances on outward appearances and only using the KJV to extreme. No one is perfect. Yet it is hard to penetrate to people like Bro. Howard of how God is more concerned about the inward appearance more than the outward.
It just makes me wonder and see how the Devil will try to counterfeit Christian believers by using legalistic religious guys and ladies like Bro. Howard especially after my church(Calvary Chapel of Knoxville) went out in love not legalism to share the Good News of Jesus paying the pardon for breaking God’s law.

Here is the Million Dollar Question: Are you good enough to go to Heaven? Let’s go through the Ten Commandments and see if you qualify.
Exodus 20:2-17 (New Living Translation)
2 “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.
3 “You must not have any other god but me.
4 “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. 6 But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.
7 “You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.
8 “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 You have six days each week for your ordinary work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.
12 “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You must not murder.
14 “You must not commit adultery.
15 “You must not steal.
16 “You must not testify falsely against your neighbor.
17 “You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.
No matter how you can justify yourself…you have broken all of them in one way or another. Murder? I’ve never killed anyone, Robert…sheesh. Yet, look at it in a different angle….ever called anyone a name or put someone down? Your name calling and put downs are murder. Looked at a woman in lust….or did the “second look”? It is still adultery.
Now when you die, you will appear before God. It will be like a courtroom setting.(You’ll wish you had Judge Judy.) God will examine the evidence.(Birth to death, your life has been recorded.)
Will you be found innocent or guilty? If you say innocent, why? “Oh, God is an all loving and good God and will overlook my past, I do plenty of good deeds.” If God is to be a good and righteous judge, he cannot turn a blind eye.
Let’s go to a real courtroom setting and apply the same idea: A child molester appears before a judge. The child molester says to the judge…”I know you are a good judge and can just look over this crime and let me go.”(Then the molester slips the judge a $20) You would be outraged if the judge said, “Ok, case dismissed.” The judge would be corrupt and should be removed from his judicial position.
It is the same way with God. He cannot be bought out with our “good” deeds. Scripture says,
Isaiah 64:6 (New King James Version)
6 But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away.
The Hebrew translation for filthy rags is menstrual rags. For us guys, it is called a used tampon. We cannot buy God off with our so called “good” works.
Now be honest. We are guilty. All of us have sinned. Sin is a word for missing the mark. Remember taking archery in gym class? If you did not get the dead center(bulls-eye ), but shot anywhere around dead center, it is called sin.
So now knowing we are Guilty, what is the punishment? It is Hell.
Revelation 20:15 (New King James Version)
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Now does this concern you? It should. I don’t want to go to Hell and neither do I want to see you go to Hell.
At the end of a United States President’s term, he has the option of pardoning individuals for crimes they have committed. Even though the person is guilty of the crime. The President with one signature can declare that person innocent and free.
Why did I make that statement after saying we are guilty and deserve Hell? Here is the good news for you as a guilty person standing before God and getting ready to be sentenced for eternity in Hell. You fine has been paid. A pardon has been issued on you behalf.
2,000 years ago God came to Earth as both man and God. He was perfect in every way. In all his 32-plus years on Earth he did not sin in thought, word, or deed. As being a sinless being, he was nailed to a tree and his blood spilled. God saw this as a satisfactory payment for the sins of the world. Then get this….Jesus arose from the dead. He not only spilled his blood for your sins, but defeated death for you and me.
Isaiah 53:5 (New King James Version)
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)
16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
Will all this information what will you do? A decision needs to me made. You cannot put it off, because you do not have a guarantee you will be alive in the next 3 minutes. Do you accept and receive the pardon?
You must admit you are a sinner, you must repent(turn away and not go back to the same way of living) from your sins, and finally you must receive the pardon of your sins, Jesus Christ. Like a present under a Christmas tree waiting to be opened, God offers you salvation from the wrath of himself through his Son, Jesus. You need to cry out to Jesus. Right now. Ask him to wipe away your sins by his blood. Place your faith in Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 (New Living Translation)
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
As a result according to Scripture:
Romans 8:1 (New Living Translation)
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
Another version of the Bible says it like this:
Romans 8:1 (Contemporary English Version)
If you belong to Christ Jesus, you won’t be punished.
When you accept Jesus as your pardon, you are free and declared innocent.
So now what? You can start reading your Bible. Start with the book of John. Find a Biblical foundational church to attend. Warning: Many religious bodies claim to be Christian, but are dangerous cults. So pray for God to help you find a church. I can give you suggestions if you are unsure about a certain church body or you need some free spiritual material for your growth.
