As adults, we sometimes overcomplicated and become overintellectual in our Chrisitan walk. We overfocus on the rituals of the faith. It no longer becomes a personal simple faith in Jesus, but a legalistic ritual. Unfortunately, we even forceablly impose these same ideal of legalistic ritual intellectualism on others.  Many of these rituals are not even biblically based. They do more to outwardly promote ourselves as spiritual to others than humbling loving people to Jesus.

In this scripture, the Lord redirects us to not overcomplicated what He has made simple to all people. He desires for all to understand how much He loves in a simple way. A childlike faith in Him. He wants a restored relationship with his creation. Simply coming to Him. You dont have to go to seminary or work you way up a church ladder to beconsidered spiritual in the eyes of the Lord. He just wants you  know he loves you and wants you to love him back.
