A shelter is a means of protection from different types of elements.(weather, persons, finanicial, etc.). There is only one shelter offerering everlasting protection beyond the years we live on Earth. God is the best shelter from the elements of human failings.(God’s Word calls this sin. Which is missing the mark of perfection.) The shelters the world offer are only temporary and do not offer true protection beyond this life. The book of Nahum shows how the Ninevites forgot about where their true shelter of protection exists. Unfortunately, because the left the shelter of God, their city was eventually destroyed. Let us not make the same mistake as the Ninevites and stay continually in the shelter of the Lord’s protection. Like going outside in the dead of winter without a coat, don’t forget to always daily remain in the covering of the Lord every step you take in the world.
